- Is 4 Wheel Drive Needed Almost always no unless otherwise noted for the cabin or in inclement weather. Check your guest information webpage or the listing description.
- What types of cabins do you offer? Cozy 1-2 bedroom rentals, spacious family lodges, pet-friendly cabins, and secluded retreats. Filter, search, and check them all out on our Properties Page.
- How close are your cabins to local attractions? Most are within 15 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, Nantahala Outdoor Center, and Harrah’s Cherokee Casino.
- Are your cabins pet-friendly? Yes! Many cabins allow pets. Check listings for details.
- What amenities are included in the cabins? Fully equipped kitchens, fireplaces, hot tubs, Wi-Fi, and some have game rooms.
- How can I book a cabin? Visit our Properties Page page to book online.
- What is your cancellation policy? Varies by property and season. Usually 30 days but larger properties have a 60 day cancellation policy. Check reservation details
- Are there Uber's available? Yes, but limited from what we see.
- Do you provide recommendations for activities and dining? Yes! Visit our Area Guide for local attractions and dining.
- Is the cabin motorcycle friendly? Usually no due to the gravel mountain roads here. If the cabin is motorcycle friendly it will state so very clearly:)
- How can I contact Smoky Mountain Stays? Call or Text 828-513-0767, email us, or use our Contact Form.
- Is the kitchen fully equipped? Yes, all cabins include basic appliances, cookware, and utensils.
- How far is the nearest grocery store? A short drive from all cabins. Ingles in Bryson City as well as Food Lion in Cherokee.
- Are medical facilities nearby? Yes, Swain County Hospital in downtown Bryson City. We have multiple urgent cares in Bryson City. Hopsital in Sylva as well.
- Do you provide firewood? We do not provide firewood; however there is often some left over, plenty around the cabin, as well as available at any store or gas station in the area.
- What is the parking situation? Each cabin has designated parking. Check the listing for specifics.
- Are linens and towels provided? Yes, fresh linens and towels are included.
- Do cabins have laundry facilities? Most cabins have in-unit laundry. Check listings for details.
- Is there Wi-Fi and cell reception? Wi-Fi is included, but cell service may vary. Most have cell signal, but it's spotty in the mountains.
- What wildlife might we see? You may encounter deer, bears, and raccoons. Secure food properly.
- Are hiking trails nearby? Yes, many Great Smoky Mountains Park as well as Nantahala Forest are all nearby.
- What is the check-in/check-out process? Check-in is after 4PM, check-out by 10AM. All cabins hvae electronic keypad codes that are emailed 2 days prior to arrival. Detailed instructions can be found on your guest information webpage.
